G.J. Gerard

Rev. GJ Gerard, an active member of Northeast Presbytery, was endorsed as a Volunteer in Missions with World Witness, to Mexico, in 2010. He currently focuses on Korean ARP and related missionaries and ministries, especially in Latin America.  His travels also take him to Europe and Asia where he holds one-on-one encouragement and information meetings with missionaries as well as participating with short-term mission teams. GJ earned the MDiv degree from Gordon-Conwell Seminary and was ordained by Long Island Presbytery, UPCUSA, Huntington, NY, in June 1972. He served as pastor of the Kingsborough Church, Gloversville, NY (1972–1983), and then moved to Connecticut, where he was a Professor of Electrical Engineering Technology at Gateway Community College (1982-2009) and as an Adjunct Professor (2009-2022) in his capacity as a Professor Emeritus.  GJ also served as General Manager and Chief Engineer at Christian Radio Station WIHS, Middletown, CT, (1983-2021).  Rev. Gerard was the Principal Clerk of Northeast Presbytery (1994-2008) and assumed this role again since 2021. He is also currently Chairman of the Korean Transition-Administration Commission of the Presbytery. He is the father of six children and has 21 grandchildren.
